Huntington Beach Hospital Earns Top Marks on Lown Institute Index

 Hospital earns “A” grades in Health Equity, Clinical Outcomes, Inclusivity and Pay Equity.

Huntington Beach, CA (June 25, 2026)— Huntington Beach Hospital, a member of Prime Healthcare Foundation has earned “A” grades in Health Equity, Clinical Outcomes, Inclusivity and Pay Equity on the 2026 Lown Hospitals Index, recognizing the hospital’s commitment to delivering equitable, high-quality care, fostering an inclusive workplace, and advancing positive outcomes for the patients and communities it serves.

The Lown Hospitals Index is the only national ranking that evaluates hospitals on social responsibility by examining how equitably care is delivered, how well hospitals invest in their communities, and whether patients receive high-value care that avoids unnecessary procedures, in addition to clinical outcomes. More than 50 measures contribute to a hospital’s overall performance.

The hospital has earned the Healthgrades Patient Safety Excellence Award for four consecutive years and has been named among the Top 5% of hospitals nationwide for Patient Safety. Huntington Beach Hospital has also received Healthgrades Five-Star Awards for Hip Fracture Treatment and the Treatment of Gastrointestinal (GI) Bleed, further reflecting its commitment to delivering safe, high-quality care and exceptional patient outcomes.
