Behavioral Health Services
Mature Adult Psychiatric Services at Huntington Beach Hospital provide comprehensive treatment programs for adults in need of specialized behavioral healthcare. Physician supervised inpatient and partial hospitalization programs are available to meet the individual needs of each patient. The programs are designed to relieve emotional and personal distress for adults exhibiting acute behavioral symptoms.

Inpatient Services
Inpatient hospitalization gives the patient an opportunity to focus on life stressors away from the distractions of everyday life.
Services include:
- Thorough assessment of each client by a psychiatrist, psychology staff, nursing staff and social services.
- Daily meetings with psychiatrists
- A safe, supportive and therapeutic environment supervised by professional staff
- Individualized plan of care
- Case management services
- An active therapeutic program focusing on issues which lead to hospitalization
- Art, music and recreational therapy
- Group, individual and family therapy
Partial Hospitalization Program
To assist with transitioning back into the community, Partial Hospitalization is provided five days a week, and is tailored to meet with specific needs of our patients.
Services include:
- Free transportation to and from the program
- Weekly visits with a psychiatrist and medical consults
- Therapeutic treatment with professional staff
- Art, music and recreation therapy
- Group psychotherapy
- Individual therapy as needed
- Breakfast or snack and hot lunch served daily

Outpatient Services
Once a client’s symptoms are stabilized, the Outpatient Services Program allows clients to attend a therapeutic program, and actively function in the community.
Services include:
- Free transportation to and from the program
- A minimum of one monthly appointment with psychiatrists
- Therapeutic treatment with professional staff
- Group psychotherapy
- Groups to assist with transitioning into the community
- Breakfast or snack and hot lunch served daily
